Resources
The primary goal of the Dana Dawson library is to support the teaching, learning, and research needs of current Saint Paul students, staff, and faculty. The Library provides print and electronic resources for classroom instruction and patron research and adopts appropriate new technologies for theological education. The Library also serves the research needs of Saint Paul graduates, regional ministry personnel, and, through reciprocal agreements, students at other area seminaries, colleges, and universities.
Research is supported in the Library through orientation sessions and information guides for new users and through ongoing reference assistance and instruction from Library personnel. For several weeks at the beginning of each semester, the Library offers classes that teach patrons how to use the online catalog and electronic databases. Reference service and patron instruction for individuals at point of need are also available during regular working hours from all full-time Library personnel.
The Library has one special research collection, the E. Dale Dunlap Collection of Wesleyan and British Methodist Theology.
