Guidelines for Research with Human Subjects
During the spring 2009 semester, the Faculty Council adopted the following policy and procedures to oversee research involving human subjects. Although such research has been conducted routinely in accord with clear ethical standards, Saint Paul School of Theology (SPST) now wishes to reinforce such practices in light of the increasing demand of journals, publishers, and funding agencies for evidence of such formal review.
To implement these guidelines, SPST has established a new standing committee of the Faculty Council, the Research with Human Subjects Committee. The Research with Human Subjects Committee is chaired in Spring 2013 by Dr. Nancy Howell.
