The Saint Paul Board of Trustees gathered on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012 to discuss the Agreement for Building Occupancy and Commitment to Collaborate between Saint Paul School of Theology/Kansas City and the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection. Letters from students, alums, and donors were presented and discussed. Later in the afternoon, the Saint Paul Board unanimously agreed in a roll call vote to the specifics of the agreement that will make the move of our Kansas City campus to The Church of the Resurrection official pending approval from the seminary's accrediting bodies.
In order to avoid any perceived conflicts of interest, Rev. Adam Hamilton resigned as board chair before Wednesday's meeting agenda began. Twila Glenn, Director of Consulting and Learning at The Alban Institute, was elected as the chair of the board to finish out the unexpired term. She is originally from Kansas and worked previously as the Director for Connectional Ministries in the United Methodist Iowa Conference. Twila Glenn has vast expertise in faith-based organizational leadership and has given multiple years of service to the Board of Trustees. She has served as board secretary and most recently as vice-chair; conducting several meetings this past year.
