Admissions Requirements for Masters and
Non-Degree
 
(Only the MDiv degree is offered at the Oklahoma City University Campus)
  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university
  • Overall undergraduate grade point average of 2.8 or better on a 4.0 scale
  • Official academic transcripts from all previous college, university, and graduate schools attended
  • Completed admissions application form
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Essay: personal statement, two to four pages, typed and double-spaced
  • $50.00 non-refundable application fee; this can be paid online
  • Applicants for whom English is a second language must submit a copy of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and submit a score of 600 for a Paper-based test (TOEFL), 250 on the Computer-based test (CBT), or 100 on the Internet-based test (IBT)
Admissions Requirements for Doctor of Ministry
  • A Masters of Divinity degree (or Bachelor of Divinity or equivalent professional ministerial degree from a regionally and ATS accredited theological seminary, with a minimum grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale
  • At least three years experience in ministry following the completion of the Masters of Divinity degree
  • A current ministry setting
  • A completed application form (see criteria on form)
  • Four letters of recommendation
  • Essay: personal statement of purpose, four pages, typed and double-spaced
  • Theological writing analysis, four pages, typed and double-spaced
  • $60 non-refundable application fee
  • Applicants for whom English is a second language must submit a copy of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and submit a score of 600 on the written (TOEFL) test, 250 on the Computer-based test (CBT), or 100 on the Internet-based test (IBT)
Masters and Non-Degree Deadlines
 
Saint Paul School of Theology has a rolling admissions policy. Degree students wanting to attend the fall semester must begin the admissions process and complete the FAFSA at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/ prior to March 1 to have the greatest eligibility for financial assistance from the institution. For the January term or spring semester, you must begin the process prior to October 1. Those applicants interested in Student Pastor Appointments with the United Methodist Church must have their application complete and an admissions decision by April 1. For summer (Non-Degree) entrance the application process should be completed no later then April 30.
